Cream Cheese Frosting Using Hand Whisk

The Cream cheese frosting can be used in decorating/Icing Cakes, Cup cakes, Pies, Puddings, Cookies, Drinks and as filling in Tiramisu.

Fat free Cream Cheese - 8 Oz at Room Temp
Butter - 1/4 Cup(1/2 Stick) at Room Temp
Milk  - 2tsp
Sugar - 3/4 Cup
Vanilla Essence - 1tsp

  • Cut butter in to few pieces. Cream Butter and Sugar.
  • Add Cheese and Vanilla essence beat well.
  • Add few drops of milk on regular intervals while whisking.
  • Whisk continuosly till foamy.

  • If using electric hand mixer then skip milk.
  • Refrigate till you use in recipes.
  • Fatless frosting can be done by skipping butter, but it is bit watery and goes well for Tiramisu like recipes. Refrigate the fatless whipped cream cheese for 1/2hr before icing the cake.
  • I decorated chocolate cup cake with butterless/fatless (skipped butter from this recipe) cream cheese frosting above.
