Cream Cheese Frosting Using Hand Whisk July 27, 2012 By Sangeetha Priya Leave a Comment The Cream cheese frosting can be used in decorating/Icing Cakes, Cup cakes, Pies, Puddings, Cookies, Drinks and as filling in Tiramisu. Ingredients Fat free Cream Cheese – 8 Oz at Room Temp Butter – 1/4 Cup(1/2 Stick) at Room Temp Milk – 2tsp Sugar – 3/4 Cup Vanilla Essence – 1tsp Method Cut butter in to few pieces. Cream Butter and Sugar. Add Cheese and Vanilla essence beat well. Add few drops of milk on regular intervals while whisking. Whisk continuosly till foamy. If using electric hand mixer then skip milk. Refrigate till you use in recipes. Note Fatless frosting can be done by skipping butter, but it is bit watery and goes well for Tiramisu like recipes. Refrigate the fatless whipped cream cheese for 1/2hr before icing the cake. I decorated chocolate cup cake with butterless/fatless (skipped butter from this recipe) cream cheese frosting above.
