Homemade Whole Grain Idli Dosa Batter | Multi Grain Idli Batter | Pearl | Finger Millets | Jowar | Wheat | Brown Rice Combo
I got loads of Indian Whole grains from my Mom and Mil during last visit. This is not a recipe for blog sake I would admit. Several times I made idli and dosa with this whole grain batter…You may wonder that, if instant flours are available at groceries then why this whole grain grinding process at home.

Every day we are running with Sandwich, Cereals, Pan Cakes, Waffles, Egg Scrambles and Desserts so n so... How do we forget our traditional recipes? Try this easy and healthy Kambu/Bajri dosa which is purely made of Kambu/Bajri and no Rice or Urad dhal mixed in the batter. This is my mom's signature recipe and I have served this dosa with healthy Manathakkali chutney which I posted earlier(In the old picture below).

Whenever we have spicy foods, I prepare this koolu/porridge along with that which is very good for health, keeps the body cool. Certainly you guys need for summer or if you like to have it anytime like us :). Some people still follow a procedure i.e After cooking the Bajri/Kambu make balls out of it and immerse in water, cover and store it room temperature overnight, very next day morning they drink that water alone which is good for stomach/ulcer...Kambu(Bajri or Millet) - 1/2 Cup
Butter Milk - 1 Cup or as needed
