Learn to make healthy oil free Horse Gram Sprouts Salad / Mulaikatiya Kollu Salad

  • Freshly sprouted Horse gram - 1/2 Cup
  • Boiled Peanuts - 1/3 Cup
  • Thinly Sliced Raw Carrot - 1/2 Cup or use baby carrots
  • Thinly Sliced Raw Capsicum - 2 Tbsp
  • Optional Chopped Raw Tomato - 2 Tbsp
  • Zucchini or Cucumber cubes -  1/3 Cup
  • Raw Hard Avocado - 1/4 Cup chopped
  • Lemon Juice - 1 Tbsp
  • Seasoned Salt or Regular Salt - As Needed
  • Croutons - As Needed
  • Optional Ranch / Mayonnaise - As Needed
  • 1 Tbsp Chopped Onion
  1. If using dry peanuts, soak them for an hour, pressure cook with salt and water for 3 hisses.
  2. Once pressure goes off drain the excess water and keep it ready.
  3. Also chop, slice and make the other raw ingredients ready.
  4. In a mixing bowl add all the ingredients mentioned in the ingredient list except crouton.
  5. Gently mix all together from top to bottom.
  6. Top it with Croutons and serve.
Recipe Notes
  1. You can add fried paneer / tofu or shredded cheese to this salad.
  2. Instead of Peanuts you can use white kabuli chana / garbanzo beans.
  3. This one is a spinach / green leaves free salad, if you wish you can chop and add 1/2 cup of any salad leaves.
