Tomato Sevai | Thakkali Sandhagai | Tomato Idiyappam Recipe

Thakkali Sandhagai / Tomato Sevai is very popular in Kongu Cuisine. I have mentioned a story about idiyappam/sevai in Authentic Sandhagai Recipe. Also refer the same recipe to make idiyappam/Nool puttu. This year I am baking more cookies for several reasons, one main reason is homemade cookie exchange among Teachers happening at my daughter class this week☺. So among few cookies that I have baked, the crinkle cookies is one among it. Today I am here with a healthy post. After ages I got Gongura/Sorrel leaves in an Indian Grocery. At the moment when it caught in my eyes, I flew with joy. Immediately I started planning what to make with it. The bunch was very big so I made 3 dishes like Gongura Pappu, Gongura Rice and Gongura Chutney/Pachadi using it. Wish I get gongura often :-)

Gongura/Sorrel Leaves is also called as “Pundi Palle” in central Karnataka and Pulicha Keerai in Tamil. Gongura is a very rich source of iron, vitamins, folic acid and anti-oxidants essential for human nutrition. According to Wiki, Gongura comes in two varieties, green stemmed leaf and red stemmed.

Strawberry Yogurt Smoothie | Zero Sugar Added Healthy Smoothie

Healthy Banana Nut Wheat Muffins | Morning Breakfast Muffins

I bake muffins on weekly basis for kids morning school snack. Healthy muffins are always my choice and today's muffin recipe is fully loaded with Bananas, Apple, Wheat and Powdered nuts (I use Almonds and Walnut mostly, do prefer nuts of your choice).
