We were lucky to see newborn calves during our India trips and my son named the last New born in our farm during our presence as "Lakshmi". Since then In each and every chat he asks thatha patti about Lakshmi. Yeah for us Vasal Pongal and Mattu Pongal are so so important and the farm animals are among our family.. I don't have any Mattu Pongal celebration pictures but my memory does 😊

Welcoming December with this yummy fusion Eggless Rose Tres Leches cake. This was the birthday cake I made in last October for my daughter's birthday with her favorite sweets/ mithai and made it according to her request ☺️. Eggless and Butterfree Cardamom Milk Powder based Sponge Layers.
The layers were soaked in Three milks and I adapted it to a simplified Rose rabri/rabdi version.

I have shared several lunch posts with bottle gour

I have shared several lunch posts with bottle gourd raita and finally i posted the recipe in blog with video. We call this as thayir Kuzhambu or thayir pachadi with minimal ingredients yet tastes great. The reasons for making it often are kids like this dish and it's also very healthy. This is the recipe passed my mom/Amma and and I grew up eating it often. Other couple of reasons are, crazy lauki harvest from backyard 😀 and the pandemic made me to kindify/make the family classic recipes.
