Every Friday my Husband has breakfast in his offic

Every Friday my Husband has breakfast in his office. A group of people take turn and each person brings brekkie for 25 people on every Friday. And immediately after Pongal festival he said it’s his turn to take food to office. Since he informed the previous day late evening, with minimal Idli batter I managed to prepare the below menu that early morning.

Today i observed vrat and did Sathyanarayana Pooja in the afternoon. Made Sweet Poha and one more neivedhyam ( not jn the pic) for the pooja with some usual dishes for the family using #homegrown (details in insta stories ). Instead of showing the full moon sharing the beautiful rainbow caught in our backyard this eve 😊

My Kaaramani and ponnanganni plants are so generous 💕 this year and getting good yields once in 5 days 😊 (Some video clips in Insta stories). Usually i mix any dal in keerai masiyal but today i had descent quantity to make it without dal. Also added a small tomato and tasted so good (sharing the recipe here). Kids had this masiyal with rice and ghee after the school. On my plate its a simple yet healthy lunch when cleaning takes high priority.
🥘 Long Beans Stir Fry/ காரமணி பொரியல்
🥘 Palak / பொன்னாங்கண்ணி கீரை மசியல்
🥘 Cow Peas Bottle Gourd Curry/ தட்டகொட்டை சுரைக்காய் குழம்பு
🥘 Ghee
🥘 Ponni Boiled Rice
For கீரை மசியல்...
Clean the spinach and chop them roughly, 2 cups. Here i used ponnanganni but you can use palak, arai keerai, siru keerai or mulai keerai. In a pan add 2 tbsp butter splutter 1/2 tsp cumin seeds followed by 3 tbsp chopped onion, 1 green chili chopped, 4-5 garlic finely chopped saute for 3-4 minutes in medium flame then add 2 tbsp chopped tomatoes. Saute till it turns mushy. Add chopped spinach and remove from flame( no need to cook). Transfer them to pressure cooker with necessary water say 1/2 cup and cook for 2 whistles. Once pressure goes off mash it with பருப்பு மத்து, add salt and serve with hot piping rice.
