Mudhal Muraiyai...I never imagined that I could grow Pirandai Adamant Creeper Cissus Quadrangularis in US, yay for the first time in my life successfully grew it this year and got good yield as well. So using that precious thing I recently made Pirandai Paruppu Podi which goes well with Idli dosa and rice varieties. Black-Eyed Peas Savory Sundal Kaaramani or Cowpeas Stir Fry. This nutritious Sundal's taste is enhanced by adding freshly groud Sundal Podi (a special spice mix for Sundal, recipe included). This pandemic made me crazy and throwed all possible seeds from my kitchen pantry and lobia/cowpeas was one among them. Swipe to see it's beautiful flower. Since I got good yield, I used raw Black-eyed peas for this recipe, but I detailed how to use dried black-eyed peas in the same post.

Today prepared a big batch of rice flour at home, ahead of the festival (tomorrow is chaturthi for us) to ease the cooking process. Also made some Thengaai Poorana Kozhukattai using the homemade flour (Pachai Arisi maavu) and few snacks. The classic Kozhukattai Recipe with thin layer is up in my YouTube channel, provided two methods for beginners to prepare the outer layer and link is in bio.
