Its a 10 month wait to see long beans (Kaaramani) in my garden (shared video in IG story). I started long beans last year with 6 plants and it gave abundant yield. This year I sowed prev year seeds and plants were growing nicely. When they were about to flower , few plants were eaten by Rabbit. The escaped ones started producing beans now. So today I got enough beans to make poriyal and our lunch platter was Idharku Thane Asaipattai Bala Kumara 😃 . Hope I flood my insta feed with more garden produces...

Today I picked the first Ridgegourd (swipe for the pic) for this season from the veg garden. And it straightly went in to my #manchatti for Peerkangai Masiyal ( Kadaiyal). I always follow my grandma recipe to make this kadaisal and sometimes in clay pot like her. Usually we add milk or butter atlast but today I skipped it. Also wishing a very Happy Onam to my dear friends those who celebrate it today. Coming to Kozhukattai this is the method i would suggest for beginners in Kozhukattai making and from this detailed video recipe you can learn how to make thin outer layer (mel maavu) and tasty more filling for the modak.

No Oven, No Condensed Milk , No Milk Powder, No Paneer, No Nuts, No Vanilla Flavor and No Sour Cream or Greek yogurt used to make this perfect Eggless Sponge Cake. Also I didn't use heavy / full cream kind of fancy stuffs yet delicious cake is guaranteed.
