Sugar – 1/4 Cup
Custard Powder – 3 Tbsp
Few Fruit Pieces (Optional)
Cream Cheese/Whipping Cream – 4 oz Optional
Clean the mangoes, peel the skin, separate the pulp and blend in the mixie with sugar to a fine mango puree. Mix the custard powder with milk in a heavy bottomed pan and bring it to boil, stir continuously otherwise it will stick in the bottom, remove from heat when it forms a thick paste like consistency.
Now add mango puree to the custard mixture mix well and refrigate for 30mins. Add few fruit pieces you like while serving.
1. To get a soft/foamy custard, whisk (cream cheese + 2 tsp of sugar + 1/4 cup milk) or heavy whipping cream + 2 tsp sugar to soft peaks(8-10mins) and add to the mixture before refrigate (mango mixture should be at room temp).
2. Can add store bought mango pulp instead of fresh mangoes.
3. If you get any lumps just blend in mixie and then add the mango puree but make sure the custard is cooked well.
