Halloween and Diwali are coming up, I wish to post some desserts, so today’s recipe is pumpkin spread for sandwich. This is our authentic halwa with less ghee. My kids enjoyed much when I used this as a spread for bread. I have substituted pure honey in place of other artificial sweeteners, so I am sure that this healthy pumpkin sandwich make you to give a try…

- Heat ghee, if like to add whole nuts add at this point and saute the grated pumpkin along with it for 2-3 mins.
- Pour the milk n bring to boil.
- For shortening the cooking process, I pressure cooked it for 1 whistle and again transferred to the wide pan.
- When most of the moisture evaporates, add Condensed milk and powdered nuts saute till it thickens more.
