Mint Rice Recipe | Pudina Sadham

pudina sadham mint rice recipe

Ingredients

Cooked Rice – 1 Cup
Mint – 1 Small Bunch
Green Chillis – 2 (Small size)
Boiled white (Garbanzo beans) or Black(Kala) Chana- 1/4 Cup

For Tempering
Mustard – 1tsp

Urad dhal- 1tsp
Chana dhal – 1tsp
Onion – 1 Small (Optional)
Oil/Ghee – 2tsp
Salt – As Required

Method

  • Grind mint with green chili’s to a fine paste.
  • Heat oil in a pan temper with mustard followed by dal.
  • Add optional onion, salt and saute till it becomes translucent.
  • Now add the ground mint paste cook till raw smell goes off.
  • Add garbanzo beans and boiled rice, mix well.
  • Adjust salt and serve with onion raita.
