Baked Healthy Tilapia Fish

This is one of my weekly routine recipe for kids. This won't take more than 10mins of baking n you can cook in dosa pan too. A very very healthy oil-less seafood recipe, definitely ur kids will enjoy it. Even this soft baked fish is good for all age groups. Somehow I forget this post n was sitting in archive for long time for better pictures, yup I did it now :-), will come up with another spicy version soon even that is in archive now. Thanks Swasti for reminding it :-)

Ingredients
Tilapia Fish Fillets/Steaks - 1 lb ( around 450gms)
Turmeric powder - 1/4tsp
Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1/2tsp
Lemon Juice - 1 Tbsp
Salt - As Needed
Sliced Onion, Minced Garlic & Sliced Capsicum or Bell Pepper - For Garnishing
Aluminum Foil - To cover the fish

Method

Old pictures with Tilapia steaks :-)

  • Clean the fish, drain the excess water/moisture by pressing the fish gently with paper towel or cloth.
  • Make cross big slices over the filletsas shown in Pic 1 below
  • Mix all ingredients with the fish and let it sit for 30mins (Pic 1).
  • Arrange the marinated fish in aluminum foil (pic 2).
  • Garnish with sliced onion, Capsicum and minced garlic.
  • Cover/Seal the fish pieces tightly with the foil with no gaps (Pic 3) or old pictures.
  • Bake in oven to 400° F for 10mins (Keep in the medium rack).

  • If using pan, then cook covered in medium flame and need to flip halfway.
  • Very soft/juicy fish is now ready to serve (Pic 4).
Note:
  1. This covered version leaves some juice can feed that also to ur infants.
  2. Add up the spices according to ur kids tolerance.
